Pastor Johnson Rev Dr. Johnson Olatunde hails from the beautiful hilly town of Ado Ekiti, Nigeria where he developed a love and passion of assisting others in need whilst selflessly pursuing justice and equity at every opportunity. His sense of compassion for others, an avid sports person as a young boy. Even as a young boy, he exemplified a spirit of devotion and cared for the needs of others more than his own. These early years laid the foundation for the life and the ministry of a humble servant of God.
Having witness the power of prayer in a town crusade he developed a love for the word of God and sort the knowledge of how to pray by faith standing on the promises of God. Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde obtained his primary and secondary education within the public schools of Nigeria. In 1975, after completing high school, he entered training College as an aspiring freshman. His focus and field of study was Business Administration and Economics. While attending college, he was active in the Student Government. He was also a player on the junior league soccer team. After graduation Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde secured employment with the Police Academy of Nigeria and was an Officer Agent for 13 years. After accepting the call of Jesus Christ to the Ministry of Christianity in October of 1995, Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde, was licensed by the State of New York through the Bethel of Praise Ministries Church in Brooklyn New York.
Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde was forever a changed person; he exhibited a wholly transformed personality after accepting the Lord. He built himself more and more in the word indulging in long secluded hours of prayer. He had an unquenchable thirst and a large appetite for the teachings, principles and the ethics of the new covenant.
Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde continued in the service of the Lord, grounded in the knowledge that his life had taken a meaning when he met the love of his life, a daughter of Zion Josephine Faponnle; they both fell in love and got married. Since then the Lord has been faithful and blessed them with wonderful children.
A powerful preacher of the word illuminating minds, healing wounds and commanding miracles in the church and general congregation of the body of Christ was voted intercessory pastor of the year consecutively and also served on the local church board whilst being a member of the District Church Board in Brooklyn NY.
In 2002, Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde was licensed to preach in prisons and hospitals, at this time he found it necessary to veer away from his fundamental studies of Economics and Business Administration, and to go beyond the normal pastoral training so far obtained and other associated trainings and seminars to further his studies in Theology and graduated with a BA Oral Roberts Bible Institute (ORU). His dedicated work and intellect proved rewarding for he graduated with cum laude.
Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde as a powerful preacher of the word has, as he has been led by the Holy Spirit travel far and wide preaching the gospel in several countries of the world including Great Britain, Nigeria, Ghana, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Holland, Republic of Benin (Africa) and several others States within the United States of America. He his also a human rights activists with emphasis on spiritual growth, holiness within the Christian organizations.
Under Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde leadership and pastorate the RPPT church has grown spiritually (through meaningful worship and increased love and fellowship), numerically and structurally (with the addition of church signs, handicap ramps, parking lot, Church van, and extensive renovations to the Building and the Sanctuary from October 2012 – April 2014. Numerous church officials have been installed including 14 HODs (head of departments) and 6 trustees. Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde is extensively involved in local, state, national, and international activities; and he organized and he’s the President of Goshen Community Development, Incorporated (GCD) to revitalize housing, health care, restoring and renovating of properties, improving career growth and currently incubates several businesses including its own Sub Stop Menu Shop.
Apart from actively participating in civic and religious activities in the City of Suffolk and the State of New York, Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde frequently conducts workshops, seminars, and revivals throughout the States, and trains church leaders to face boldly the new challenges of a changing world and the Ways of a changeless Christ. Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde continually strives for a better church and community through Christ Jesus. This is evident through the boundless energy he displays, and his enthusiasm for the growth and productivity of RPPT Church, and for all of mankind everywhere. Working in partnership with the LICAN of Long Island Communities Association of Networks he has pushed for a closer working relationship with the local authorities fostering better accommodation and educative life changing youths programs. Other area of passionate activism includes municipal ID for undocumented immigrants to break the yoke of undocumented immigrants abuse.
Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde has been married to his wife, Josephine, who serves alongside him, dedicated to creating an atmosphere for them both to minister the powerful word of God in season and out of season. Dr. Johnson continues to preach the unadulterated word of God, lead God’s people and teach that if you obey God, He will bless you real good! Included in that plan was becoming an author of The God of Difference, Ammunition of Prayer, Prayer Bullets. Through all the events of Rev. Dr. Johnson Olatunde life, he has followed the inner sense of God’s calling to pastoral ministry. The Holy Spirit, along with the support of various church communities, has sustained his calling, guiding him through these years of service in the Kingdom.
Rev. Dr Johnson Olatunde continues to teach and preach the undiluted Word of God with a biblical and practical awareness, with integrity, balance, and without compromise. His desire is to equip the saints not only to do the work of the ministry, but to realized that they have a God given covenant through Jesus Christ, to live a life full of peace, prosperity and an abundance of joy.
Since he gave his life to Jesus Christ, Pastor Olatunde has ministered with the heart of a servant in various capacities of Ministry, in denominational as well as non-denominational churches. Pastor Olatunde is a leader in the community and one looked to in times of adversity as someone who will “stick closer than a brother”. He is also a strong advocate for the family.
