• Understand that our sin separates us from God- God cannot stomach our sins. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Proverbs 28:13, Isaiah 59:1
  
  
• Understand why Jesus died - The penalty for sin of any kind is eternal death. We could not pay our own penalty and still live. Romans 6:23; 5:8
  
  
• Accept the Resurrection of Christ - The resurrection proves who He is and proves there is life beyond the grave.1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 1 Peter 1:3; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
  
  
• Put total trust in Christ - Trust is faith. Call Jesus "Lord." Romans 5:1; 1 Peter 1:8-9
• Change our mind about sinning - Repentance is a change of mind that leads to a change in our conduct. Acts 2:38; 3:19; 20:21; 2 Corinthians 7:10
  
  
• Then be immersed in water for God's gifts in baptism, we identify with Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16; 1 Peter 3:21. Acts 2:42, Hebrews 10:25, 1 Peter 1:13-19, Malachi 3:10.
